Greater Central Vietnam - 4 days

In these 4 days you will be exploring Central Vietnam most well-known cities. Hue and Hoi An have a lot to offer to it's visitors. Great food, which is known as the best one in Vietnam, history, architecture and bike trips through stunning landscapes are the reasons why we will take you to these cities.

Day 1:    Hoi An (Join-in)
 
 

This morning we will start a walking tour through this charming small town made of hundreds of historic houses, congregation halls, pagodas and other structures. Its buildings and its streets reflect the indigenous and foreign influences this town had, defining it as a unique heritage and multi-cultural site. There’s plenty to see in this delightful town, such as the Japanese Covered Bridges, the Pottery Museum, the 200 years old Tan Ky House, Chua Ong Pagoda and the vibrant local market. We will visit all of them in this walking tour. In the evening you will have free time at leisure to relax and discover this beautiful town on your own.

 

Day 2:    Hoi An - Hue
 
 

After having a nice breakfast at the hotel, you will be transferred to the train station for your train towards Hue. Upon arrival to Hue, you will be transfer to the hotel and enjoy the rest of the afternoon at your leisure.

 

Day 3:     Hue (Join-in)
 
 

Depart from hotel from 8am to 8.30am for Hue city tour. In the morning, you will visit 3 of the most largest Emperor’s Tombs: Khai Dinh tomb, Minh Mang tomb, Tu Duc tomb. Then visit Vong Canh Hill, conical hat and incense stick making village. Then, you will return to the city for your Vietnamese lunch.

In the afternoon visit the Forbidden Purple City. Constructed under Emperor Gia Long's reign in the early 19th century AD.

Thien Mu pagoda will be your last stop before a cruise on the Perfume River by dragon boat and view daily life along the way. When the tour finished, you will be taking back to your hotel.

 

Day 4:    Hue
 
 

Today you will tour around Hue's countryside by bicycle. Between 1802 and 1945, Hue was the imperial capital of the Nguyễn Dynasty.  Heading towards Vi Da, admire the beautiful landscape on the side, along Nhu Y Canal. Vi Da is a locality established 200 years ago. Even today, it's possible for visitors to see those typical traditional Hue houses. Vi Da is also famous for its gardening traditions, as its gardens have been blossoming all year long. We will continue biking to An Hoa village where we will visit the Chat Vi pagoda and Cu Lai market. Lunch will take place at a local restaurant and after lunch you will start biking through the green rice paddy fields while heading towards Thanh Toan Bridge, with its unique architecture.  Located near the bridge you will find a small museum displaying Vietnamese farmer’s instruments to do fieldwork. Here you can learn more about the daily life of countryside people. Later, we will bike back to Hue city center.

  • All land transportation and airport transfers by air-conditioned car with local driver
  • Local driver during land transportation and transfers (local language speaking only)
