Cu Chi Tunnels & Cao Dai Temple - Excursion

Cu Chi is an area which played a very significant role during the Vietnam War. The Cu Chi tunnels are a proof of how Viet Cong soldiers defended themselves during the most dramatic years of their lives. Walk through the tunnels, underground kitchens, hospitals, living quarters and get an authentic insight of the best weapon that the Viet Cong created during their resistance to American forces. Located very close to Cu Chi, Cao Dai Temple is located. This temple, like the religion, is a fusion of world influences and a must see and a perfect fit to this full day tour.

Day 1:    Ho Chi Minh City - Cu Chi Tunnels - Tay Ninh (Join-in)

After breakfast, you will be picked up at your hotel and head towards Tay Ninh Province to visit the Great Cao Dai Holy Temple, a place of pilgrimage for South Vietnamese people and for those who are interested in Caodaism, a monotheistic religion, officially established in the city of Tay Ninh in 1926. At noon we will stop for a local lunch in Tay Ninh.

Heading back to Ho Chi Minh City, we will make a stop at the famous Cu Chi tunnels. The tunnels are 75 km northwest of Ho Chi Minh City, an area that played an important role during Vietnam's wars for independence and reunification. More than 200 km of tunnels were built here by the Vietnamese guerrillas and are often the highlight of South Vietnam touring. You can explore the bedrooms, meeting rooms, air-raid shelters, smokeless kitchens, and experience life underground in this extraordinary tunnel complex. When the visit finishes, we will get back to Ho Chi Minh City.
