This trip is designed for all travelers who want to visit the vibrant and interesting cities of the country, but also want to enjoy the nature Vietnam has to offer. Visits to well knonwn cities are included in this trip, as well as natural sites such as Sapa countryside and the UNESCO World Heritage, Halong Bay. 

Day 1:    Hanoi
 
 

Welcome to Vietnam! Upon arrival to Hanoi Noi Bai Airport your driver and guide will meet you and they will transfer you to your hotel. Check-in and enjoy the rest of the day at leisure.

Day 2:    Hanoi
 
 

Your day will start at 8:30 am with a city tour to Ba Dinh Square and Ho Chi Minh's Mausoleum (1) with his house on stilt. You will be visiting the architectural and historical aspects of Uncle Ho’s final resting-place. Lying to one side of the Mausoleum is the One Pillar Pagoda; built by King Ly Thai To in 1049. This structure has become an important symbol for the people of Hanoi. Next, we will visit the West Lake, Hanoi’s largest lake; Quan Thanh Temple, a Taoist Temple dated from 11th Century and the impressive Tran Quoc Pagoda, a Buddhist pagoda located in a small island in the center of the West Lake. In the afternoon, we will visit the Temple of Literature, built in 1076. Vietnam’s first university was established within this temple to educate Vietnam's royalty, mandarins and members of the elite. The university functioned for 700 years and its gardens and well-preserved architecture offer a fascinating glimpse into Vietnam’s past. After visiting the Temple of Literature, we will head towards the Old Quarter of Hanoi, also known as the 36 streets. This bustling area of narrow streets is home to thousands of small businesses and shopkeepers. Finally you will walk to Hang Gai Street – the silk shopper’s paradise where you can find the best Vietnamese silk.  Your day will finish with the famous Vietnamese traditional water puppet show. After the show, you will be taken to the hotel where you will be able to relax and enjoy your free time at leisure.

Day 3:    Hanoi - Sapa
 
 

In the early morning, the shared bus will pick you up at the hotel in Ha Noi and transfer you to Sapa. Upon arrival in Sapa, check-in at hotel. The rest of day is free at leisure.

Day 4:    Sapa - Ma Tra - Ta Phin
 
 

The walk commences from Sapa on a trail running through the beautiful gardens and lush pine forests. You will then go through the Black H’mong ethnic minority village of Ma Tra, a very small village hiding away from civilization. The walk continues through rice paddy fields and spectacular scenery. During the day you will also be able to visit a local school.

 

Arriving to Ta Phin Village you can hear about the unmixed cultural life of Black H’mong and Red Dao minorities, the two largest ethnic groups in the area who can be recognized by their dressing style. You will enjoy walking among local people. The trip also offers you the opportunity to visit the local houses as well as visit the local caves. You will return to Sapa by car.

Day 5:    Sapa
 
 

All day is free at your leisure.

Day 6:    Sapa - Lao Cai - Hanoi
 
 

The day is free at leisure until transfer to the train station for night train back to Hanoi. (20:15 – 04:20)

Day 7:    Hanoi - Ha Long (Join in)
 
 

You will leave Hanoi for a 3.5 hour drive to get to Ha Long Bay. At Tuan Chau International Marina, a tender boat will take you to our Halong Phoenix Cruiser. A refreshing welcome drink is served and you can check into your cabin.

Enjoy the amazing scenery while cruising amongst the hundreds of islands. You will pass by Duck and Thumb islets to go to Bright cave area – (the border between Ha Long Bay and Lan Ha Bay). After 2.5 hours cruising, our boat will stop in Bright’s cave area for kayaking (A bamboo boat will be arranged for the elderly or people who cannot kayak) to visit the small cave and beautiful lagoons. Kayaking provides the opportunity to explore the beautiful lagoons and get closer to the island.As the sun sets over the bay, we head back to our cruise and relax. Coffee, tea and fruits will be available on the sundeck or you can order your favorite drink while our boat cruises to the night’s anchorage area.

In the evening you may choose to enjoy drinks from the bar or top deck or experience squid fishing before retiring.

Day 8:    Hanoi - Ha Long (Join in) - Hoi An
 
 

Enjoy the morning view of the beautiful landscape with a cup of coffee or tea, and have breakfast with the fresh air. Today, you will visit the impressive Cave of Ha Long Bay – Surprising Cave (Sửng Sốt) with your tour guide, a truly awesome and amazing cave to experience. 

Check out of your cabin and settle your bill as our boat begins cruising back to the harbor. Experience more views of Ha Long Bay such as Fighting Cocks Island (Symbol of Ha Long Bay), Incense Burner and Stone Dogs Islands. A cooking demonstration onboard shows you how to make authentic Vietnamese Spring rolls. You will learn about the recipes and techniques that create this popular dish of Vietnamese people. At noon, you will get back to the Marina where your shuttle bus will be waiting you to take you back to your hotel in Hanoi. You will arrive around 16:30pm/17pm to your hotel.

After you arrive in Ha Noi, transfer to Ha Noi airport for flight to Da Nang. Upon arrival in Da Nang, you will be transfered to your hotel in Hoi An and can enjoy the rest of day at leisure.

Day 9:    Hoi An
 
 

Spend the day free at leisure. 

Day 10:    Hoi An
 
 

All day is free at leisure.

Day 11:    Hoi An - Ho Chi Minh City
 
 

In the morning you will catch your flight at Da Nang airport to Ho Chi Minh City. Once you arrived at your hotel, the rest of the day is free at leisure.

Day 12:    Ho Chi Minh City
 
 

A trip to Sai Gon offers you a good experience of the country‘s most dynamic city – a vital economic hub with bustling life. Sai Gon is the reconciliation between American and Chinese influence, with many dots of modernity yet without losing Vietnamese traits. Modern office skyscrapers, amidst Chinese style pagodas and food stalls, street vendors along the street, they all create a dynamic urban area in a very traditional modern sense.

In the morning, you will start the trip by heading to China Town and visit Binh Tay Market, stop over at Thien Hau, a 150 year old Chinese Temple, followed by the remarkable War Remnants Museum. In the afternoon, you are going to visit the Reunification Palace, followed by an exploration of the Notre Dame Cathedral and the historic Central Post Office. End the trip with a visit to Ben Thanh Market: time for shopping.

Day 13:    Ho Chi Minh City
 
 

Today is free at leisure until the transfer to the airport to catch your flight home or to your next destination. 

Tour includes:
