Day 1:    Beijing
 
 

Arrive in Beijing, where you can use your hotel room from check in time ( 12 hrs at noon ) on day 1. Also, your travel companions will arrive this first day to meet you. The extra is free for you to arrange according to your flight schedule. You will meet your English speaking tour leader at 12.00 hrs noon on day 1 in the hall of your hotel in Beijing.

China’s capital , rooted politics, tradition and commerce, makes a fascinating place to explore, says Tom O’ Malley. You will get a lot of free time to explore this Imperial Beijing. Being the biggest Square if the world, the Tiananmen Square is the place you must see. Beijing is the famous ancient cultural city in the world which has over 120 museums. Around it is the Great Hall of the People, the National Museum of China, the Mao Zedong memorial Hall and most importantly, the beautiful Forbidden City.

Taste of Beijing, you can not miss the Zhajiangmian. It is a Chinese dish consisting of thick wheat noodles topped with a mixture of ground pork stir-fried with fried sauce, which is salty fermented soybean paste. Remember to mix before eating. 

 

Day 2:    Beijing
 
 

The thin morning sun barely crowns the cypress tress, but Jingshan Park is packed. Nearby, a line-up of Tai chi enthusiasts glide in slow-mo, the most accomplished in the middle, the novices out of step at the edges. It will defiantly strikes you this do-it-yourself communal fun which is something you have never really encounter in the West.

The Summer Palace occupies the top place of Chinese classical gardens, whose basic structure is formed by the Longevity Hill and Kunming Lake. Gathering the essence of the Chinese classical architectures and containing different garden styles of different areas, the Summer Palace can be rated as the garden architecture museum. Another must-see is the Temple of Heaven which is considered to be the existing most delicate and beautiful ancient architecture complex in China. 

In the evening, a visit to the Peking Opera and its splendid costumes is really a perfect ending of your day.

 

Day 3:    Beijing
 
 

When you heard of China, Beijing will pop out of your mind. And no trip would be complete without a visit to the Great Wall of China itself. Described as “ lasting over two thousand kilometers years, and crossing over ten thousand Li. ” The Great Wall, the Roman Colosseum as well as the Tower of Pisa were listed into the World Seven Miracles. There is an old saying: One who fails to reach the Great Wall is not a hero. There are a plenty places where you can climb the wall.

 

Day 4:    Beijing
 
 

The city’s remaining hutongs ( traditional alleyways ) once viewed as an ageing misuse of prime real estate, may well have tourism to thank for their survival. Bookended between the lakes of Shichahai in the west and the Lama Temple in the east, Gulou is one of the Beijing most bustling Hutong district. Catch a glimpse of historic building, not only the chess-playing local people with pyjamas will feel in Beijing but also the new boutique hotels with neatly garden terraces, or hidden cocktail bars. Nanluoguxiang is a hot tourist spot with its unpaved ways mixed retro cafes, bars and souvenir shops. Also 798 Art District in the eastern suburbs all make Beijing a fascinating place to visit.

Day 5:    Beijing/Pingyao
 
 

The ancient city, whose history dates back some 2,700 years and renown for its well-preserved city wall, is a UNESCO’s World Heritage Site and a major tourist attraction. 

We suggest you to buy a through ticket including visits to the City Wall, the Temple of City God, the  Rishengchang Financial House and the Tongxinggong Ancient Bank Bodyguard Establishment . This ticket will save you a lot of trouble.

 

Day 6:    Yangshuo
 
 

Qiao's Compound is worth a visit. You will learn a legendary life of a business man Qiao Zhiyong. The ancient Buddhist Zhenguo Lotus Temple is one of the most popular sightseeing spots for tourists. The unique construction of the wooden Lotus support beams and the 1000 year old tree will grab your attention.

Day 7:    Yangshuo/Xian
 
 

Take train to Xian (hard sleeper), feel the most Chinese transportation. An essential China experience, at least one overnight train trip will give a good idea as to how China ticks and the train network is of a good and improving standard. Longer train journeys also offer a window into ordinary rural China. The ancient city is impressive and thriving, there are many treasure worth your digging. From museum and mosques to majestic pagodas, imperial tombs and the city wall.

Taste of Xian, the Knife-cut Noodles will deep your impression of the old city. The noodles are cut and cooked to order from a slab of wheat dough. A strainer full of noodles, fresh off an open fire, commands the total concentration of a cook in Xian.

Day 8:    Xian

Deep in to the local villages,they all have their own refined building styles, dress, and varied customs. Be careful of their hospital in rice wine. It is sweet but definitely can get you drunk totally!

 

Day 12:    Pingan
 
 

It is said, 'Where there is soil, there is a terrace'. The breath-taking scenery of Rice Terraces worth your effort to trek among the mountains.

Day 13:    Pingan/Shanghai
 
 

Shanghai, this young metropolis only officially became a city in 1927, but is now China’s most populous, with almost 23.5 million residents. You can get a general insight into the city's culture and history in Shanghai Museum, Among its huge collections, the displays of bronze vessels in Shang and Zhou dynasties, ceramic objects of different historical periods and ancient paintings and calligraphy, grace the museum with their incalculable value.

Day 14:    Shanghai
 
 

The big city needs you to explore. Take advantage of your free time today to visit Yuyuan which was specially built for Pan's parents as a place for them to enjoy a tranquil and happy time in their old age; do some shopping in Nanjing Road which is considered to be the 'No. 1 commercial street in China'. It’s a landmark for this city for a long time. At the end of the day, we will come to the Bund area, a famous waterfront and regarded as the symbol of Shanghai for hundreds of years.

Day 15:    Shanghai Depature
 
 

Do you remember your first taste of Beijing noodles? Now, taste of Shanghai, you must try Plain noodle soup. Different from Beijing noodle, Plain noodle soup do not have heavy flavor sauces, instead, the light flavor with clear soup will fresh yourself for  tiredness of travel. Try local snacks in the old city center or enjoy top service in the fancy restaurants. Finally, go shopping in the numerous departments stores and small shops.
